Use of Student Learning Evidence

From our assessment processes, we have gathered evidence of student learning through direct measures (student products and the evaluation of those products) and through indirect measures (student perceptions of their learning and their academic and campus climate through surveys). In addition, we have a number of institutional indicators (e.g., licensure pass rates, employment statistics, and retention data) that provide additional evidence of the performance of our students.

This information is used to identify areas of improvement and the process is documented through annual assessment results reports and assessment plans for each year. To date, changes in policies and procedures, the development of new assessment processes, and the creation/modification of courses have been a result of our work.
