GREENSBORO - Dr. Frances Ward, an assistant professor in the speech and communication  department at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical  State University, recently presented a research paper at the 20th Annual Intercultural Communication Conference. 

The conference was held Feb. 20-22 at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla. Ward's paper was titled "Get Out of My Hair! The Treatment of African American Hair Censorship in the American Press from 1969 to 2002." She also presented her work during a panel discussion focusing on media and social change.
