GREENSBORO - The Transportation Institute at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will sponsor a summer study and career awareness program in transportation for high school students June 25 – August 1. The program is designed to expose students to academic and career possibilities in the transportation industry.

Participants in the 2003 Summer High School Transportation Institute will discover the exciting world of air, land and water transportation. They will meet professionals in the transportation field, take field trips and enroll in a college course.

The Institute is funded by the Federal Highway Administration, U.S. Department of Transportation. Free tuition and student stipends will be available for a limited number of students. For information and an application call Vanetta Phifer at (336) 334-7745. The deadline to apply is April 25.
