A&T Names Interim Director Of  Human Resources

Greensboro, N.C. – Luther L. Smith
has been named interim director of
human resources at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State
University.

Smith has 12 years experience in
human resource administration with
a demonstrated ability to work
effectively and congenially with
employees at diverse levels.

Prior to joining A&T, Smith served as director of human resources at DanChem Technologies Inc. in Danville, Va. He has also served as human resource manager and corporate benefits and risk manager
for Kayser-Roth Corporation.

A native of Greensboro, Smith is
past president (2001) of the Board
of Directorsfor the Southside Virginia Society for Human Resource Management.

He also served on the planning committee for the Regional Center
for Applied Technology and Training (2001).

Smith received a B.S. degree in accounting from A&T. He is married
to Bowonna Morgan and they have
two children, Lyle and Ivie.
