XEROX GIVES $50,000 TO A&T FOR ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIPS

GREENSBORO - Xerox Corporation recently awarded $50,000 to North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University to fund scholarships for students in the College of Engineering.

Emerson Fullwood, corporate vice president and executive chief staff officer, developing market operations, presented the check on June 20, to Dr. James C. Renick, A&T chancellor.

"We are extremely thankful for Xerox's support," said Renick. "These funds will help keep the doors of opportunities open to our students. With our current state budget crisis, these funds couldn't have come at a better time."

The grant represents a renewal of Xerox's ongoing support for A&T.

"We have had a long lasting relationship with A&T for several years," said Fullwood. "This partnership has been built around encouraging as well as educating the best and brightest students regardless of the economic status in our society. We believe that A&T is one of the leading universities in the state of North Carolina as well as nationally and we are excited to continue our strong partnership with the institution."

Other Xerox representatives on hand for the presentation were Cedric Burns, technology program manager; Kris Kleinhenz, account manager; Mark Alexander, office solutions specialist; Curtis Collins, XBS business solutions executive; and Neil Sessoms, manager, sales operations.
