A&T Student Attends Columbia Univerisity Editor's Workshop
GREENSBORO -
Chris Wallace, a senior journalism and mass communication major at
North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, was recently
selected as one of 20 college editors nationally to attend the annual
College Editors Leadership Workshop held in New York City from May
26-30. |
Wallace, who will graduate in Dec. 2003 with a degree in journalism and mass communication, was able to garner valuable experience from the professional editors, including Betsy Wade, the first woman hired as a copy editor of the New York Times and Michael Hiestand, a staff attorney at the Student Press Law Center. Each newspaper editor had its paper critiqued in a hard-nosed critique session, and The Register, A&T student newspaper, received good reviews. |
