North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University's WNAA 90.1 FM will host a sound stage at the upcoming Fun Fourth Celebration in downtown Greensboro, Saturday, July 4, from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. The WNAA Sound Stage 4, located on Friendly Ave. and Elm Street will host performances by David Salah, Inc., DJ Marcuis, Dave Reavis, Douglas Willett and Lion Tracks. Special performer, Greg Drumwright will present The Singers & Musicians band will hit the stage at 4 p.m. Drumwright is a former Student Government Association President of N.C. A&T State University and has been singing gospel music for years. The Fun Fourth Festival has been presented annually since 1975 as a community celebration of Independence Day for Guilford County and the Triad area. The festival is held in the Cultural District of Downtown Greensboro and at Grimsley High School. Over 90,000 people will attend Fun Fourth events this year, including the Freedom Run, the Kickoff Block Party, the Parade and the 35th Street Festival, as well as the Pops Concert and Gate City Fireworks Spectacular. More than 100 businesses help sponsor the events and over 12,000 volunteer hours of assistance are donated. The Fun Fourth Festival is produced by Grassroots Productions Limited, a local non-profit corporation that focuses on charitable and educational activities in Guilford County.
