A&T GEARS UP FOR ORIENTATION 2009

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is set to welcome incoming freshmen, transfer students and parents to the Aggie experience at this year's Summer Orientation and Registration, beginning June 5-6 with additional sessions taking place on June 10-11, June 16-17 and June 25-26.

Day one kicks off at Corbett Sports Center, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. with a host of breakout sessions and information sessions. Under the theme "The Journey to Aggieland" students will be guided through the process of registering for classes, meeting advisors and administrators and enjoying a tour of their new campus. The goal of orientation is to help students adjust to life on campus, gain exposure to academic opportunities and learn more about the wide range of student support services.

Parents, students and guests will attend an opening assembly and an array of workshops during the course of the two-day visit. A social networking opportunity will take place in Harrison Auditorium and ice cream social in the Memorial Student Union.

For more information contact the Office of Orientation, Murphy Hall at 336.256.2213.
