A&T NURSING STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNITY FORUM
Mary Wall, Crystal Bailey, Shakiera Whyte and Whitney Wallace

Students from the School of Nursing at North Carolina A&T State University recently participated in the annual Hampton Homes Community forum organized by Officer Alexander from the Greensboro, Police Department. This year students prepared poster presentations on HIV/AIDS, safe sexual practices and proper contraceptive use, and provided blood pressure screenings and individual teachings on the importance of developing and maintaining healthy lifestyle habits. Students also assisted with the registration and confidentiality forms for HIV/AIDS screenings, provided by a representative from the Greensboro Health Department.

The students who represented N.C. A&T Nursing  School were Shakiera Whyte, Elizabeth Kotey, Brittany Tyson, Krizia Webster, Jenee Jones, Tatiana Washington, Whitney Wallace, Crystal Bailey, and Ciera Lloyd and  Mary Wall, advisor and faculty.

Representatives from the Women's Resource Centers and other organizations provided information for the community residents.

The keynote speaker for the event was the Honorable Theresa H. Vincent, a district court judge.
