 Dr. Anjail Rashida Ahmad, director of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University's Creative Writing Program has had her poem, "the poet," (necessary kindling, LSU Press) selected to be included in the second installment of the North Carolina Arts Council's three volume series, the Literary Trail Guide. This volume of the guide will feature writers living in the Piedmont Region of the state and will be published both online (http://www.ncarts.org) in fall 2009 and as a print volume.
Additionally, Ahmad has also had poems selected for publication this past fall semester in Salon Café: an Online Literary Journal ("the bargain"), Estuary Literary Journal ("apparition," "restoration," and "tea roses"), Savannah State University and Obsidian III: Black Literature in the African Diaspora ("her own cathedral," "ambushed," "siren song" and "without a trace”), North Carolina State University. |
