The Interdisciplinary Center for Entrepreneurship and E-Business (ICEEB) in the School of Business and Economics is sponsoring an "Entrepreneurship Day" on November 6. The theme is financial literacy and the activities are: As follows. Workshop on "Managing Your Credit" Time: 10 – 11:30 a.m. Location: Merrick Hall 128 Speaker: LaTasha Best-Gady, North Carolina Institute for Minority Economic Development Distinguished Entrepreneur Lecture Speaker: Scott Fleming, President, Replacements Ltd. Time: 1 - 2:30 p.m. Location: Merrick Hall Auditorium Scott Fleming is President of Replacements Ltd., the world’s largest supplier of old and new china, crystal, silver and collectibles. Fleming joined the company as a college student in 1983 and was named Replacements’ President in 2006. He attended the U.S. Military Academy and UNC Greensboro. Financial Literacy Lecture Speaker: Ted Daniels, CEO, Society for Financial Education and Professional Development Topic: "How to Manage and Protect Your Money" Time: 4:30 p. m. – 5:50 p.m. Location: New Classroom Building Auditorium, College of Arts and Sciences. Daniels is a registered Investment advisor, an attorney, and President & CEO of the Society for Financial Education and Professional Development. He has more than 32 years of experience in the areas of financial management and investments. He has a B.S. degree in economics from Fort Valley State University and a bachelor of Laws degree from John Marshall School of Law. The ICEEB is a joint project of the School of Business and Economics, the School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, and the School of Technology. Located in the School of Business and Economics, the Center coordinates the certificate in entrepreneurship, an entrepreneurial internship, business plan competition, lecture series, and the entrepreneurship concentration for management majors. | |||||||
