Michael Joseph Roberto, Ph.D., assistant professor of history at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, has been appointed to the Greensboro Human Relations Commission by the City Council for a three-year term.

The position was offered to Roberto for demonstrating a positive influence with IMPACT Greensboro, which will make a public report on the city's economic life in November. Roberto is an active member of IMPACT Greensboro, a unique leadership program that reflects a redesign of the Mosaic project, launched in 2005 to pair people of diverse backgrounds to spend quality time together and develop friendships.
