Dr. Linda Florence Callahan, a professor of journalism and mass communication at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, served as moderator of a refereed research paper session at the 91st Annual Convention of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication held in Chicago. The session, "Communicating Health and Risk; Media Coverage and Outreach" was sponsored by the Science Communication Interest Group.

Callahan also served on the AEJMC Strategic Planning Team during the 2007-08 academic year. The strategic plan was unveiled and approved by AEJMC membership during the annual business meeting.
