Daphne Roach, an administrative associate in the University Relations office at North Carolina A&T State University, has been appointed to the Reidsville Human Relations Commission by the Reidsville City Council. The purpose of the human relations commission is to serve as an advisory body for issues concerning the city, which includes research and education. Roach’s term is set to expire October 2009.

A native of Reidsville, N.C., Roach is currently pursuing a degree in Sociology/Social Work from N.C. A&T University. She serves as a volunteer for the campus radio station WNAA-FM 90.1, and is a member of the staff senate. She is also actively involved in her church, West End Baptist, where she serves as vice chair of the missionary board, and a member of the Hospitality Committee.
