It might be a good idea to clear your October calendar and prepare yourself for the host of activities happening at North Carolina A&T State University for the upcoming homecoming celebration.
While thousands of alumni, family and friends head to Greensboro to enjoy a variety of entertainment, N.C. A&T students will be partaking in a slew of events that will keep everyone busy during the Oct. 5-12, festive season.
Under the theme, "It's a Family Reunion," Oct. 5-12, students will officially kick-off their Homecoming 2008 festivities at the pep rally, featuring motivational speaker, Jeffrey I. Johnson, political and social correspondent to BET as the host and producer of The Cousin Jeff Chronicles, a series of mini-documentaries that tell the stories of Black and Latino communities.

Sunday, October 5
GOSPEL SHOW, 6 p.m., Harrison Auditorium. cost: $5 A&T students; $7 public
The Gospel show will showcase the N.C. A&T Fellowship Gospel Choir & celebrity gospel artist. Performers include Jonathan Nelson and Purpose (Band).
Monday, October 6
PEP RALLY, 6 p.m., Corbett Sports Center (free)
The Pep Rally will signal the official start of festivities for students during the Homecoming week. Performances will include, The A&T Marching Machine, the Cheerleaders, Blue Reign, and ticket giveaways. Motivational speaker will be Cousin Jeff Johnson.
Tuesday, October 7
COMEDY SHOW, 8 p.m., Corbett Sports Center, cost: $10 A&T student, $15 public
The Comedy Show will feature today’s hot comedians, Mike Epps and friends.
Wednesday, October 8
AGGIES AGAINST THE WORLD, 5 p.m., Aggie Village Complex (free)
This event will showcase A&T's talented students in the areas of music, fashion, and modeling.
Thursday, October 9
CORONATION OF MISS A&T, 7 p.m., Corbett Sports Center (free)
Friday, October 10
ROYAL RECEPTION FOR FORMER MISS A&T's, 11:30 a.m., Memorial Student Union (free)
Former Miss A&T's will salute Miss A&T 2008-2009 during the 10th Annual Royal Reception. These alumni queens will share their stories and reveal history of their alma mater during their reign.
PAN HELLENIC STEP SHOW, 7 p.m., Greensboro Coliseum, cost: $12.50 A&T Students; $17.50 Public; $20.00 day of event
Saturday, October 11
"The Put On" HOMECOMING CONCERT, 7:30 p.m., Greensboro Coliseum, cost: $25.00 A&T students (first 1,000); $27.50 A&T students (first 1,000); other ticket prices are $31.50, $34.50, $39.50
The concert performers are T-Pain, Rick Ross, Plies, Shawty-Lo and others.
Sunday, October 12
CAMPUS WIDE CLEAN-UP, 8 a.m., throughout campus
Students and student organizations give back to the university in a form of community service to their alma mater.
