Dr. Chimalum Nwankwo, chair of the department of English at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, was a special guest of the Christopher Okigbo Poetry Society in the Nigerian capital, Abuja. He gave a reading from his poetry books and took questions from the audience. He also gave a talk at the University of Nigeria on "Myths and Folktales in African Literature" on June 15, 2008.
