Jose’ A. Bravo de Rueda, an associate professor in the department of Foreign
Languages at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University,
participated in the conference “The First and the Forced: Indigenous and African
American Intersections.” The conference was held at the University of Kansas and
at Haskell Indian Nations University Nov. 9 – 11 in Lawrence, Kansas. The paper
was titled “ (Dis) Connections: African and Indigenous Peoples in Peru.” A
selection of the proceedings will be published in a web-page.
