Perkins will be among 26 of this country's dynamic female executives, scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and researchers to receive this honor. These women have distinguished themselves as modern-day trailblazers, and have overcome career challenges and pitfalls to excel in fields that were closed to them only a few short decades ago. Now in its seventh year, the conference is hosted by the IBM Corporation and produced by Career Communications Group Inc., publishers of U.S. Black Engineer & Information Technology magazine and its sister publication, Hispanic Engineer & Information Technology. The conference will feature Fortune 100 companies, who will present timely, cutting-edge training sessions designed to address the professional development needs of entry-to-senior-level employees. Additionally, there will be a candid roundtable discussion with female executives and business and financial planning seminars. Perkins received her B.S. degree from Southern University, M.S. degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Ph.D. degree from Georgia Tech. (EIT). Previous Page |
