A&T Announces Opening Day Activities

Greensboro, N.C. - The opening activities
for North Carolina Agricultural and Technical
State University for the new academic year
2003-04, will be held Monday and  Tuesday,
Aug. 11-12 for faculty and staff. This year’s
theme is “Exploring New Frontiers.”

The Academy for Teaching and Learning
will host a welcome workshop for new
faculty, from 8-10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11,
in the Stallings Ballroom – Memorial Union.

At 10:30 a.m. in Harrison Auditorium, A&T Chancellor James C. Renick will give his
address. A picnic on the parade grounds
in front of the Dudley Building will be held
for faculty and staff from 11:30 a.m. until
the 1 p.m. The rain site is the Exhibit Hall
in the Memorial Union. The Academy of
Teaching and Learning and the Human

Resources Office will host a workshop from 1-3 p.m. in the Stallings
Ballroom – Memorial Union. The presenter will be Dr. Ancella Livers
of the Center for Creative Leadership.

College and School meetings will be held at 3 p.m.

On Tuesday, August 12, Provost Carolyn W. Meyers will host a breakfast for faculty who teach freshman introductory and core courses. The breakfast will be held in the Faculty Dining Hall.

From 9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. a Benefits Administration New Faculty & Non-Teaching EPA Orientation will be held
at 1020 E. Wendover Ave., Room 009.
