Martin to Keynote A&T’s Career Banquet

Martin, founder of the accounting firm Martin, Harps, Syphoe & Company (MHS & Co.), will be the keynote speaker for North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s 2003 Annual Career Awareness Program (CAP). He started his
career as an auditor with the big eight accounting firm of Arthur Andersen & Company in Atlanta, Ga. and 4 ˝ years later became vice president and controller with Cable Atlanta. After 4 ˝ years, he left Cable Atlanta to form his own company MHS & Co., which is one of the most widely known minority certified public accounting firms in the Southeast. It was the first minority firm in the 100-year history of the Olympics to conduct the audit of the 1996 games. In addition to MHS & Co., Martin co-founded Grecian Foods, Inc., now known as Global Concessions Inc. Global Concessions Inc., is a multi-franchise owner/operator which currently owns and operates the following franchises: Great Wraps, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream (2), Pretzel Time (2) and Nathan’s Famous Hotdogs. The company also owns and operates Sojourner’s Bar at the Atlanta Airport. |
