    FOURTEEN A&T ACCOUNTING MAJORS RECEIVE SCHOLARSHIPS

GREENSBORO, NC  - Fourteen students in the accounting department at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University received national scholarships at the 31st Annual Convention of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA). The convention was held July 23-27 in New York.

The scholarship recipients are Sarah Branch, Priscilla Bullock, Shanyce Campbell, Melanie Glover, RaL'Leisha Groves, Keisha Lassister, Shondae' LeGrand, Tia Hastye, Leslie Maynard, Robert Peterkin, Marcus Phillips, Jerome Smith, Rachel Wigfall and Ja'Kim Williams.

A&T students received 14 of the 36 scholarships that were awarded. The total value is $28,500.

At the convention, A&T accounting professor Ronald Campbell was awarded the National Achievement Award for Education. Two A&T accounting graduates Daniel H. Moore and Faye L. Mitchell Moore also received awards. Daniel the Founders' award and Faye the National Achievement Award for Government.
Additionally, A&T's student chapter of NABA was recognized as the first student chapter chartered by the organization.
