      A&T NAMES CASTERLOW INTERIM ASSISTANT VICE CHANCELLOR FOR
 ACADEMIC AFFAIRS AND DIRECTOR OF SUMMER  SESSIONS AND OUTREACH 

GREENSBORO, NC  - Dr. Gilbert Casterlow, professor of mathematics at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, has been named the university's Interim Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Director of Summer Sessions and Outreach.

In his new role, he will be responsible for the operation of N.C. A&T's summer sessions and summer outreach programs.

Casterlow has been teaching in A&T's mathematics department for 31 years, where he has held several positions including professor, associate and assistant professor instructor and graduate assistant. 

He serves as A&T's teacher of mathematics and facilities coordinator for the Saturday Academy, A&T's mathematics education specialist and faculty advisor for in-service mathematics teachers (K-Graduate School) and the Greensboro Area Mathematics and Science Education Center mathematics coordinator.
He has also taught at Winston-Salem State University, University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Bennett College.

Casterlow received his B. S. and M.S. degrees from A&T and his Ph.D. degree from The Pennsylvania State University.
