A&T Names Williams Chair of Computer Science Department
Greensboro, N.C. - Dr. Kenneth
Williams has been named chair of the Computer Science Department at North
Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. The associate professor
has served as interim chair for the past three years.
Williams joined the university in the fall of
1992 when the computer science department was formed. His research interests
include distributed systems, network performance and object oriented high
performance computing.
Williams earned his M.S. and B.S. degrees from
Michigan Technological University. He earned his Ph.D. in computer science
in 1992 from the University of Minnesota. Williams worked at Michigan Tech for
12 years as manager of systems programming.
