A&T School of Nursing Inducts Twenty-Eight Into International Honor Society

GREENSBORO -North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University School of Nursing recently held its induction ceremony for Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, Mu Tau Chapter. Inducted into the international honor society were eight seniors, 11 juniors, one RN/BSN nurse, and eight community leaders.
The seniors are Heather Brown, Larry Davis, Leslie Farrell, Luz Lennon, Ginger Ore, Davonna Perry, Sharon Stephenson and Sherrie Williams. The juniors are Tomesha Crowder, Fachecia Fort, Crystal Graves, Sarah Jeffries, Dietra Keen, Topeka Nelson, Arletter Parker, Tianna Phillips,

Shavegas Robinson, Alicia Simpson and Kimberly Walker. The RN/BSN student is Lisa Ledford. The community leaders are Linda Brown, Pamela Faulkner, Makeba Felton, Ronald Flack, Tomika Jones, Jamilla Murray, Tomika Williams and Stephanie Winfield.
Sigma Theta Tau works to foster, develop and connect nurse scholars and leaders worldwide to improve health care. The society promotes nursing excellence through its initiatives in research, leadership, an electronic library, programming and publications and develops and distributes nursing knowledge for use in practice.

Membership to Sigma Theta Tau is by invitation to baccalaureate and graduate nursing students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, and to nurse leaders who demonstrate exceptional achievements in nursing. The undergraduate students must have at least a 3.0 G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale, be in the upper 35 percent of their graduating class, and have completed at least one-half of the nursing curriculum to qualify for membership and meet the expectation of academic integrity.
