North Carolina A&T Statement on Non-Violent Protests and University Admissions

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University applauds students who seek to play active roles in their communities and welcomes them as applicants to our university. In that spirit, we share the following statement from the Office of Enrollment Management:

“North Carolina A&T has always been an institution where students engage the world around them and advocate for positive change. We value peaceful, non-violent protest and recognize that it has often been a critical predicate for societal movement.

“While students seeking admission to North Carolina A&T must report school suspensions as part of the application process, we take into account relevant context for any such suspension. Participation in peaceful, non-violent protest would not harm a candidate’s chances for admission.”
