TBJ Selects N.C. A&T’s Martin for Power Players List

Greensboro, N.C. (Nov. 9, 2017) – North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s Chancellor Harold L. Martin Sr. has been included among the Triad Business Journal’s (TBJ) inaugural list of Triad Power Players – “key leaders who are moving the Triad economy forward.”

The Triad Power Players recognition program is an offset group previously recognized through TBJ’s “Most Influential People” over the past 13 years.

According to TBJ, Triad Power Players “have taken the baton, to champion truly catalytic efforts, to put their reputations and dollars at risk and to execute plans that move game-changing projects – and our region – forward.”

Power Players were selected based on headlines over the past 18 months that targeted major initiatives and the leaders driving them.

Martin, the first alumnus of N.C. A&T to serve as its chief administrator, is championed for his pursuit of cumulative university growth. Under his leadership, A&T has developed long-range strategies and innovative approaches to firmly position the university in the global marketplace, has furthered its reputation as a land-grant, doctoral higher research activity university, and has experienced a record increase in enrollment, among other accomplishments.
