Fall Convocation to Feature N.C. A&T Hall of Famer as Keynote

Darryl KlughNorth Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University alumnus, Darryl Klugh ’00 and ’03, will deliver the keynote address during the annual Fall Convocation at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 5, in Harrison Auditorium.

Klugh was a hard-hitting defensive back who helped lead the football team to the MEAC championship and a first round NCAA playoff win on the way to a record 11-win season in 1999. During his N.C. A&T career, Klugh led the MEAC in interceptions as the Black College Defensive Back of the Year and first team all-MEAC honors.

Never losing sight of his academics, Klugh earned two degrees in Electrical Engineering. Following his tenure at A&T, he began a career focused on wireless technology and digital signal processing. After completing the requirements to become a licensed professional engineer, he now owns and operates a growing engineering firm specializing in government contracting.

Klugh was inducted into the N.C. A&T Sports Hall of Fame in 2014. He consistently uses his Hall of Fame distinction to continue to support the growth and direction of the university by providing valuable opportunities and resources for future Aggies.

Fall Convocation recognizes student athletes for their academic and athletic accomplishments and welcomes back alumni for The Greatest Homecoming on Earth celebration.
