Fall Commencement Start of New Beginning for N.C. A&T

North Carolina A&T State University will hold its 2016 fall commencement Saturday, Dec.10, 2016, at the Greensboro Coliseum. The ceremony marks the first degrees conferred under the university’s newly reorganized academic structure that, among other changes, established a uniform naming convention for academic units, including the university-wide adoption of colleges instead of colleges and schools, established three new colleges and reorganized one and exploration of expanded doctoral programming.  

The university will award a total of 966 student degrees as follows:

  • Undergraduate           659
  • Graduate                   268
  • Doctoral                    39

N.C. A&T alumnus and corporate executive, Kelvin L. Buncum will deliver the commencement address. Buncum is the vice president of operations for the Great Plains Region of multi-billion-dollar company, Sam’s Club. Prior to this role, he served as the vice president of innovations and global business process, vice president of operations strategy and integration and regional general manager for the Mid-South, all for Sam’s Club.

Greensboro Coliseum is located at 1921 West Gate City Boulevard. Line-up will begin at 8 a.m. and the processional will begin at 8:30 a.m. The ceremony will be streamed live online.  Coliseum doors will open at approximately 7:30 a.m. More information about fall commencement is available online.
