The parade entry fee is $150 (non-refundable) for the following entries:
• One float
• A walking unit
• Two horses
• Two cycles
• Two go carts
The fee for cars or trucks will be $175.00 (non-refundable). This fee includes two new signs per vehicle.
The cost for an additional entry is $75 (non-refundable) for either category based on the list above or availability. All fees are non-refundable. The application can be found on line at https://orgsync.com/990/forms/56820/submission. Application fees must be paid at the Treasurer’s Office, which is located in the Dowdy Administration Building. Out of state participant entry fee, payments must also accompany the application. Applications received after October 1, or without payment will not be accepted.
In order to assure safety, all parade entrants are required to pass through N.C. A&T’s police security checkpoint on the morning of the parade. In addition, all floats must pass a safety inspection by our Environmental Health and Safety Office prior to the parade start time. If you have a non-A&T sponsored float, you will be required to sign a liability waiver. The waiver form is on the back of the application. Also, throwing candy or other items from the parade will not be permitted. If you would like to hand things out, you must have a walker to pass them out to the spectators.
All entrants and organizations are required to attend one of two mandatory meetings. During the meetings, participants will receive their parade permit and signs (if applicable), as well as, parade day logistics. Entrants will receive information regarding mandatory meeting dates, after the application has been approved.
