A&T, HAMPTON CELEBRATE PARTNERSHIP

On April 20, North Carolina A&T State University opened its campus to host 125 third-fifth grade students from partnership school, Hampton Elementary.  The students experienced a day of academic engagement and enrichment.

To give the students an understanding of third graders had an opportunity to visit the area of veterinary medicine while fourth graders visited the computer science department and fifth graders spent time in the chemistry department. 

The students had lunch in Williams Cafeteria on “Fried Chicken Friday,” then exercised their Aggie Pride on the steps of the Dudley building before receiving mini-lessons about the A&T Four/Greensboro Four by students from the department of history.

Students also the University Art Gallery before watching a step performance by the Eta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., and sharing the lessons they learned throughout the day in an academic wrap-up session.
