DORED TO HOST WORKSHOP ON NAVY RESEARCH

The Division of Research & Economic Development at North Carolina A&T State University will host a workshop on performing contractual research with the U.S.  Navy, Tuesday, April 10, from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m., in 410 Fort Interdisciplinary Research Center (Fort IRC Bldg).

Kurt Yankaskas, a program manager with NAVSEA, the Naval Sea Systems Command, will conduct the workshop. He will present an overview on various topics including: 

• Distinguishing the difference between contracts and grants,
• The characteristics of applied research projects,
• Developing relationships with program officers, and
• The mechanics of Navy proposals.

Yankaskas will also be available to discuss civilian careers with Naval Research and answer any questions that arise during the presentation. Feel free to bring a lunch.
