CONTINUING EDUCATION ANNOUNCES APRIL COURSES
The office of continuing education at North Carolina A&T State University has announced its line-up of April courses.
• Six Sigma Certificate Program
The A&T Office of Continuing Education and the American Society for Quality (ASQ) will offer the Six Sigma Certificate Program (SSCP), a 90-hour combined classroom and on-line training program toward ASQ six sigma green belt and black belt certification. It will be April 2-Sept. 24; three Mondays per month from 6-9 p.m., plus six hours per month online.
The cost is $2,499 which includes all course materials and a one year ASQ membership to facilitate access to many quality articles and literature.
• Principles of Quality Auditing (CQA)
Standards and principles for auditing and the auditing techniques of examining, questioning, evaluating and reporting to determine a quality system’s adequacy are taught in this ASQ certification exam refresher course that will be on Thursdays, from 6-9 p.m., April 5-May 31. The cost is $499.
• Grant Writing for Beginners
Learn the basic method of how to write a winning proposal in the workshop “Grant Writing for Beginners.” It will be Thursday, April 19, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The day-long workshop will give detailed instruction on the process, structure and skills of professional proposal writing.
N.C. A&T Professor, Dr. Musibau Shofoluwe, a certified grants writer who has written and received over $4 million in funding from US government agencies will be the instructor. The cost is $220 for registrations received by March 30, 2012. All registrations received on or after March 31 will cost $275.
