ENERGY DAY TO BE HELD AT A&T

North Carolina A&T State University and the Center for Energy Research and Technology, will host its third annual Energy Day Celebration for grades 6-12.  Energy Day will take place Tuesday, Feb. 21 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in Cherry and Graham Halls.  More than 800 students are expected to attend Energy Day which is designed to expose them to energy related sources and technologies.

The students will be divided into small groups which will rotate through the different activities, escorted by N.C. A&T student ambassadors.  These activities will feature solar energy, wind energy, photovoltaic energy, bio-fuels, lighting, hydrogen fuel cells and others.

Students will be given an hour and a half to visit the exhibits, which will be administered by student and faculty-led groups within A&T’s College of Engineering.  Among the featured displays are those by Duke Energy and the Center for Energy Research and Technology.   In addition, several displays from student groups within the College of Engineering will be featured.
