Remembering Specialist Lunsford B. Brown, II

Specialist Lunsford B. Brown, II was a senior political science major from Henderson, NC. He gave his life fighting for his country in Iraq in September, 2003.

Maj. Steve Stover, an Army spokesman, confirmed that Lunsford Brown, 27, was one of two soldiers killed in an attack in Abu Gareeb, Iraq. Brown had been a member of the 302nd Military Intelligence Battalion based in Germany.

The Transylvania County Board of Commissioners has established a resolution in memory of Specialist Brown.
