What is Financial Aid?
Financial aid is money awarded to assist students and parents in paying for the costs of an education.
How do I
apply?
Students apply for need based and some non-need based financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. There is no processing fee, and all students are encouraged to complete the application. Students should complete the form immediately after January 1 (This form must be completed annually). We encourage students to submit the FAFSA on the Web at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Students and parents must have a PIN# from www.pin.ed.gov the Department of Education to sign the FAFSA elecronically. The PIN number should be retained for accessing information from the federal government as well as electronically signing the FAFSA in the future. The University will receive the FAFSA electronically, provided that NC A&T State University school code is listed.
The University’s priority deadline is March 15 of each year; however, students who miss this deadline are still encouraged to mail the FAFSA to the processing center.
