“Mississippi Born and Bred”

The Theatre department will present “Mississippi Born and Bred,” Oct. 19-22 and Oct. 26-29, in the Paul Robeson Theatre. The play confronts the struggles of a 14-year-old black girl during the 1960s in Clarksdale Mississippi. The play will also feature stage, film and television actress Johnnie Mae who has appeared in “Law and Order SVU,” “Criminal Intent,” “The Jim Gaffigan Show,” “30 Rock,” “Blue Bloods” “The Wolf of Wall Street,” and “Up in Harlem,” to name a few. This production is part of ARTSGreensboro’s 17 Days of Arts and Cultural Festival.
