College of Engineering Celebrates Engineer’s Week
The College of Engineering will host a week-long celebration, Feb. 17-22, with a host of activities for students, faculty, staff, K-12 and the entire community. The theme for the national observance is: DiscoverE.
The kick-off will be held on Monday, Feb.17, 1 p.m., in McNair Hall Auditorium. Additional activities include: Energy Day, professional development seminars, awards banquet, and a career fair. Also on Monday, from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Guilford County middle and high school students are expected to participate in the pre-college initiative day on campus.
Students will engage in innovative, hands-on activities in engineering. Finally, the week will culminate with the Order of the Engineer Ceremony, conducted for graduating seniors taking the “Oath of Engineering.”
