Connect to Wireless Network from a Macintosh

This document is written as an instruction to connect your Apple MAC to NCAT’s campus wireless network. For your convenience, all major changes or settings are surrounded by a red square, please look at them carefully.

Step 1: Go to MAC’s main page and click the Wi-Fi icon on the top-left window.

Step 2: Click “aggiestudent”.

Step 3: Type in your NCAT email account and password, chose “Automatic” for 802.1x, check “Remember this network” if you want to get connected automatically next time, and then click “Ok”.

Step 4: Wait until the Wi-Fi icon on the top-left window stop blinking and click on it.

Step 5: Click “Open Network Preferences…”.

Step 6: Click “Advanced…” in the popup window.

Step 7: Click “TCP/IP” tab and check whether the MAC gets a right IP address.

Step 8: Open a browser and you can access web now.
