John Deere Scholars Program

John Deere Scholars Program Mission: identify and award students who excel in academics, extracurricular activities, and community involvement.

John Deere Scholars Program Criteria
• Declared Major: School of Ag/Animal Science, School of Business/Economics, College of Engineering , School of Technology
• Classification: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior
• Grade Point Average: 3.0 Cumulative or above

Application Process:
• Submit your resume demonstrating the applicant’s academic excellence, leadership record, community and extra curricular activities.
• Official transcripts showing GPA of 3.0 or higher and classification.
• One page statement of "Why should I be considered for JD Scholar"
• Three letters of recommendation (including one letter from your respective Dean)

Scholar Responsibilities/Activities:
• Student must maintain a 3.0 GPA and good standing on campus.

Selection Process:
• Scholarship Committee will review and select student’s scholarship awards based on the above criteria.
• Scholarships will be issued on a per semester basis providing students maintain a 3.0 GPA and is in good standing.
