Julie Antares Scott Endowed Scholarship Fund

In memory of Julia Antares Scott, North Carolina A&T State University junior, her parents (Curtis Scott and Roberta A. Scott) wish to create the Julia Antares Scott Endowed Scholarship Fund in Mechanical Engineering. Julia Antares Scott was enrolled at North Carolina A &T State University, pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. At the time of her passing in March 2004, she was studying abroad at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, West Africa. Julia's accomplishments while at A&T include her participation in the NASA Summer High School Apprentice Research Program (SHARP-Plus).

She was a counselor for twenty-one non-North Carolina high school students. Julia was also a student mentor for area high school students to help increase the 2003 knowledge and understanding of math and science related subjects. Her honors include the following: Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society; American Society of Mechanical Engineers; Society of Women Engineers - Vice President 2003-2004; Dean's List; Golden Key International Honor Society, Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, and the National Society of Black Engineers.

In support of North Carolina A&T State University it is our pleasure to contribute funds to enhance the quality of education offered to students. We pledge $25,000 to be paid over five years.
