Center For Academic Excellence
Welcome to the Center for Academic Excellence (CAE)! CAE is a full-service academic support unit that works collaboratively with each school and college to ensure students’ success.
We provide quality academic advising,free tutoring, mentoring and a host of other services. Our goal is to assist our students with choices of major, career paths, and academic advancement. If you are an Undeclared major, then your Academic Coach can be found within CAE. If you have declared a major, please contact your School or College for assistance from your Faculty Advisor.
Additionally, CAE promotes the achievement of students in basic skills development and has significant involvement in the academic support and orientation of first-year students.
The Center for Academic Excellence is located on the 3rd floor of the Academic Classroom Building. We look forward to guiding you on your path to success!

New members of the North Carolina A&T State University Board of Visitors (BOV) will be officially welcomed to the board during its first meeting of the 2016-17 academic year, Sept. 29 – 30 in the Alumni Foundation Event Center on the university’s campus.
As construction of North Carolina A&T State University’s new, $90 million, 150,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art, Student Union draws closer to completion, the university will hold a “Topping the Beam” ceremony.
In its 2017 Best Colleges rankings release, the U.S. News & World Report has ranked North Carolina A&T State University at the No. 1 historically black college or university (HBCU) in North Carolina and the No. 2 public HBCU in the nation.
