Academic Course Load

For an undergraduate studenta full-time load is defined as 12 – 18 hours per semester or 6 – 7 hours in a five week summer term. Undergraduate students should take from 15 to 18 hours per semester to graduate in four years. To enroll in more than 18 hours in semester, or more than 7 hours in a five week summer term, students must obtain approval from his/her academic department chairperson.

The maximum course load that students who are on academic probation may carry is 15 hours. The maximum course load for a student with a GPA less than 3.0 is 18 hours.
