Many of our faculty are involved in significant ongoing research programs. Much of this research is supported by grants from government institutions such as the NSF, DoD, and DoE, as well as the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Education. Applied mathematics master’s courses and curriculum

 

The master’s in applied mathematics typically takes two years to complete. During the course of those two years, you’ll have a great deal of flexibility in what you choose to study.

In addition to foundational courses and a final thesis or design project, you’ll be able take several graduate-level math courses of your choice. Your other classes can consist of any graduate-level courses — whether in mathematics, statistics, or perhaps a related discipline.
