Student Life Information
The College of Engineering has an especially friendly reputation because the faculty/student ratio is low and students are able to obtain the attention they need to complete their degree programs.
Our elite Center for Student Development, housed within the College of Engineering, offers a wide range of support services for students from supplemental instruction to a unique College of Engineering Toastmasters Club and so forth.
City of Greensboro
The surrounding city of Greensboro is an attractive place for undergraduate and graduate students. There are five colleges and universities offering undergraduate and graduate degrees and one community college.
Our dedicated Student Ambassadors help incoming students and their families with questions and provide guided tours of our engineering facilities.
The city is of a substantial population (269,666) so that there are unlimited opportunities for recreation and festivities—from beautiful national and local parks to important athletic competitions and outstanding concerts to a wide, eclectic array of shops and restaurants there are plenty of opportunities for rest and relaxation after hard days of studying and research.
