October 4th - 2016 COE Internship and Co-Op Experience Competition!
Join us for the upcoming 2016 COE Internship and Co-op Experience Competition! If you have not yet done an internship or co-op, please plan to attend the competition on October 4th to cheer on your fellow students and learn about these great opportunities! This year's competition will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, from 3pm to 5pm in the McNair Hall Auditorium. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to showcase the experience of your recent internship or co-op (within the last 12 months). Additionally, there are awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners ($400, $300, and $100 respectively).
To qualify for the award, you must complete and submit a one-page application (please email Dr. Lee Parrish at email@example.com for a copy of the application) and give an oral presentation on your internship or co-op experience (if selected as a finalist). The deadline to submit your application is 12pm on Friday, September 23, 2016. Those selected to give an oral presentation at the competition will be notified by 5pm on Wednesday, September 28, 2016.
GEM GRAD Lab Coming to A&T!
Calling all STEM students! Consider graduate school and learn how to fund it! The GEM GRAD Lab encourages young people of color to consider graduate engineering or graduate science education and apply for the GEM Fellowship. Focusing on the global importance of research and innovation, life-long career benefits, and real world role models, the GEM GRAD Lab helps each student envision his or her future as a technology leader, successfully apply for a GEM fellowship, and gain entry to a graduate program. TECHLAV: First Annual Meeting - July 25th
The Division of Research and Economic Development (DORED) at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in conjunction with one of its major research centers, TECHLAV, will host the organization’s first annual meeting on Monday, July 25th on the N.C. A&T campus. The meeting will take place in Room 109 of the Academic Classroom Building at the corner of Obermeyer Street and Wimbush Way. It begins at 8:40 a.m. and will conclude with technology demonstrations from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to email@example.com by no later than Wednesday July 13.
Free Intel Summer Computer Camp
The College of Engineering at N.C. A&T will host two two-week sessions of computer camp for students in grades eight through twelve to take place on the N.C. A&T campus at Room 217 Cherry Hall, 1601 East Market Street in Greensboro. Click Here for more information

Retail clothing entrepreneur and TV personality Daymond John of ABC’s wildly popular “Shark Tank” series will kick off The Harold L. Martin Sr. Chancellor’s Speaker Series at N.C. A&T State University with a talk at 6 p.m., Thursday, April 27, in Harrison Auditorium.
Retired corporate affairs and business executive Hilda Pinnix-Ragland is the keynote speaker for commencement exercises for The Graduate College at N.C. A&T State University.
All students are encouraged to attend a campus safety forum set for Friday, 4 p.m., in Harrison Auditorium on the N.C. A&T campus.
