School of Nursing Student Services

Welcome to the School of Nursing Student Services located in Noble Hall suite 109, here you will find valuable information about our three program entry options. You will also find our friendly student services directory easy to use and will direct you to the right staff member to help you. The School of Nursing Student Services department is designed to meet the specific needs for the nursing student. We are built to advise and guide students who are at different stages in their academic life and career. Therefore, we have three different entry options:

Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing Entry Option (TBSN): This option is designed for newly enrolled freshmen that recently graduated from high school and would like to graduate within four years with a nursing degree. This entry option offers a curriculum leading to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The traditional BSN is a four-year Baccalaureate program. The first two years or lower division of the program encompasses core requirements of the University and foundation courses for the major. The upper division or last two years are largely devoted to nursing courses. Please click here to choose this option…

Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN): The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) Entry Option is designed for second degree students who are high level achievers and desire to pursue a career as a professional registered nurse. The ABSN Entry Option curriculum is delivered in block format over 12 months (January to December). The course work is very intense and rigorous. This entry option is designed for full-time study Monday through Friday and may also include nights and weekends. Therefore, it is expected that students do not work during this year of study and in preparation for the NCLEXRN, the licensing exam for registered nurses. Please click here to choose this option…

Bachelor of Science in Nursing Completion (BSNC): The BSN Completion Entry Option was planned specifically for the registered nurse whose career goals will be enhanced through additional study. The BSN Completion Entry Option is tailored for RNs that have an Associate in Arts degree (AA) in Nursing or Associate in Science (AS) in Nursing from an accredited community college and wish to advance their career by getting a bachelor’s degree. Our curricular innovation incorporates ethics, informatics, and inter-professional practice. The entry option is designed to facilitate either part-time or full-time study. Students with an A.A.S. degree will take additional courses and are encouraged to attend one of the information sessions. Please click here to choose this option…

New: Implement the step instruction system (Application Process) ** This step process will be added to each entry option.

Step 1 Step 2 Step 3

New: Create a survey that ask the student about their status, goals and problems.

Draft: Student Survey Status

New: Create a scheduling system for the students to meet with SON student services.

Schedule and appointment (This link will actually be connected to the advising portal on the CHHS site, but for demonstration purposes I have created a direct link).

New: Produce a descriptive paragraph that describes the ASIA system and how it will tie into SON student services and the CHHS advising portal.

Draft:

As part of our service to our students we have developed a system to advise guide and inform our students of their best options for success. We introduce to you our Academic Standing Intervention Agreement (ASIA). This system will help us automate, organize and improve the students experience with an intervention that will help the student succeed. You can access the Academic Standing Intervention Agreement (ASIA) system by clicking on the CHHS Advising Portal below:

North Carolina A&T baseball added to the championship collection. The best season in North Carolina A&T Athletics history since joining the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in 1971 apparently still has a lot of steam left. N.C. A&T baseball scored a bunch of runs en route to the MEAC Southern Division regular-season title thanks to a 25-15 defeat of Florida A&M Saturday at Moore-Kittles Field.
