Professional Development

The doctoral program requires students to engage in professional development. As such, students are required to attend professional development activities to include conferences, workshops, additional courses, and serve on professional committees. Students are also expected to immerse themselves into the professional counseling community by becoming an active member in professional associations. Students have the opportunity to participate in several conferences in the counseling profession.  Doctoral students also play an integral role in the annual Rehabilitation of Racial and Ethnic Minorities with Behavioral Addictions (REMBA) Conference and plan the annual PhD Faculty Student Picnic.
