Partnerships

To produce educational leaders who possess a lifelong passion for public service, the College of Education partners with a number of institutions, corporations, businesses, and agencies that provide opportunities for candidates to develop and enhance their knowledge, skills, and dispositions.

K-12 Partnership Schools

While the College of Education partners with a number of K-12 public schools, three specific schools are key partners for candidate early field placement and clinical practice experiences. Administrators and faculty in the College of Education work closely with administrators and staff at Hampton Elementary University Partnership Magnet School, the Middle College at North Carolina A&T State University, and the STEM Early College at North Carolina A&T State University throughout the academic year.

K-12 Public School Districts

The College of Education partners with a host of K-12 public school districts throughout the state of North Carolina including but not limited to Guilford County Schools, Rockingham County Schools, Alamance-Burlington Schools, Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, Thomasville City Schools, and Asheboro County Schools. While these districts represent partnerships within the immediate Piedmont Triad region, the College of Education also works collaboratively with a number of K-12 public school districts in western, central, northeastern, and southeastern North Carolina.

Businesses, Corporations, and Agencies

The College of Education partners with respected businesses, corporations, and agencies throughout the state of North Carolina. Faculty from across academic degree programs work collaboratively with these stakeholders to develop candidate leadership skills, immerse candidates in authentic experiences, and engage communities in strategic planning and capacity building via empirical research and sponsored research. Key partners include but are not limited to the Center for Creative Leadership (Greensboro, NC), Hugh Shelton Leadership Center (Raleigh, NC), the Alliance of North Carolina Black Elected Officials (Raleigh, NC), the Center for Health Equity Research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC), Guilford Education Alliance (Greensboro, NC), the United States Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune (Camp Lejeune, NC), the YMCA of Greensboro (Greensboro, NC), Greensboro Parks and Recreation (Greensboro, NC), Greensboro Orthopedics (Greensboro, NC), Moses Cone Hospital (Greensboro, NC), High Point Regional Hospital (High Point, NC), the Carolina Panthers (Charlotte, NC), and the Charlotte Hornets (Charlotte, NC).
