North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University has began the implementation of Banner. Banner will assist Students, Alumni, Finance, Financial Aid and Human Resources personnel in standardizing policies/procedures, implementing best practices and improving computer and technical resources required to replace legacy computer systems. A&T co-partnered with SCT Corporation Banner in replacing the legacy Plus system.

The Banner System greatly enhances information access and management for students, faculty and administrators. Among the key objectives are to deliver superior service to students and faculty; automate administrative solutions; augment reporting capacities; provide up-to-date decision-making support; enhance the professional culture of the institution; and deliver enhanced human resource capabilities. The end result of this project is a more effective, efficient and productive university.

The Banner system is a web-based computing system. It is based upon proven and scalable technologies and has been successfully implemented in many colleges and universities worldwide. What this means for individuals is simplified information access and management capabilities from both easy-to-use PC desktop software and the World Wide Web. What it means for the institution is a homogenous administrative computing system that addresses our current and long term needs.
