Special Departmental Requirements

These guidelines will help you navigate the transfer process. Some information is specific to individual programs or dependent on the institution you are transferring from. Departmental Programs

The following academic areas have additional admissions requirements.  Applicants must meet these requirements in addition to the general admissions requirements.

School of Nursing:

  • 3.0 or higher GPA

Note: Applicants must successfully pass the following courses on the first attempt: Biology, Chemistry and Anatomy & Physiology. Successful completion of the following science courses for transfer purposes can be no older than 5 years: Chemistry and Anatomy & Physiology.
                         

College of Engineering:

  • 2.5 or higher GPA

Journalism & Mass Communications Department:

  • 2.7 or Higher GPA


Psychology Department:

  • 2.8 or Higher GPA

International students

Transferring international Students must have their foreign education classes translated and evaluated by an accredited credential evaluation service.  The evaluation service must provide a full course evaluation report.  We recommend that applicants choose World Education Services (WES) or International Education Evaluations, Inc. (IEE) as their credential evaluation service.
